Dalhems Founded 1970.

Dalhems was the first company in Sweden that did both restoration, styling, tuning and racing when we started. We had bought a farm where
we remodeled the barn into a workshop. So, when our competitors said that we were rednecks out on the countryside, they were right. (The
way they said it might not have been with the best of intentions.) Non of the old structure of the barn is left except for a wall that we have
kept out of nostalgic reasons. More information will be posted later. There are some pictures of our 2000 square meter (21500 sq. ft)
well filled warehouse + dyno room and workshop. There are about 1500 front and back bumpers in stock. You’ll have to excuse
the mess in some pictures, but it’s a bit hectic at the moment and we don’t have enough space. In order to get space for new
articles, we have to put some others on sale. Click on this link to se what’s on sale right now!

Some nostalgic pictures.
Henrik Walli and Sven Arne Persson spreading fear in the rally forrest. One year worth of cups. Approximately 1978-1980.

Three fast Mini Coopers at Knutstorp race track. From the left, Stig Carlsson, Bill Taube and Henrik Walli. App 1980. Numerous podium finishes.

Henrik Walli is steaming on with a slightly different Mini.

A young Jorgen Walli eating a sand wedge at Kinnekulle Ring, while Henrik is reading the starting grid. App. 1980.
All employees posing, 1978. From the left, the founders, Gert Bengtsson and Henrik Walli, than Ingemar Rolandsson, mechanic and Stig Carlsson, sales.

1970 E-Type total renovated around 1980 by Dalhems.

Gert Bengtsson doing service and repairs on a nice Rolls Royce around 1975. You can se his leg sticking out where the red arrow points. This is the original work shop where we started. We had one more hole in the wall at that time.

Rikard Gustafsson started working for Dalhems 1986. He is standing to the left in the picture with Jorgen and Jonas Walli to the right. Jonas is the shy guy. Rikard worked 15 years for us and then started to spend full time with his MC workshop. Rikard become European Champion 2006 with his Funny Bike.

Rikard with his winning Funny Bike.
6,55 and 205 Mph was the best result 2006. Se more about Rikard on

Here’s Jorgen before he became the weeks loser in the card game “Skitgubbe”
( exactly translated “shit man”)

A depressed Jorgen has retreated after the loss in this weeks “skitgubbe” with the mandatory loser cap on his head.

You can see Jonas in the light t-shirt far in besides the car. He’s operating the dyno for the Peugeot Club. They held their yearly meeting at Dalhems. 35-40 cars got tested on the dyno.

One can se that Andrea's doesn’t want to have his picture taken, a conclusion one can easily draw by the obscene gesture.

Tobia's is in a hurry as usual, hence he’s out of focus. On top of that, he had a bad cold, so he couldn’t hear as well as usual.

Here are some of the signs used to communicate with Tobbe when he didn’t hear well. ( Text on signs "Good bye", "approximately 2-3 weeks", "NO" )

Kerstin, that takes care of the economics, is suspiciously checking out cars in Costa Mesa at Wings West 2004. About a year later a yellow car arrived to Sweden and Dalhems, not this one though, a Mazda Protégé.

Jennie with a newly bought car in San Diego. Jennie does some work for Dalhems from time to time. As a newly examined flight instructor she has some free time when the weather is too bad.

Christer is scratching the fierce wolf Dino at the same time as he’s helping a costumer on the phone.

Ellenor is trying to decide what screen to use...

JJohan is playing lot's of sports, as one can see from the flexible form.

Linda is talking to a joking costumer. She is very nice under normal circumstances too.

Henrik J. is assembling some more very much needed shelves..

Matilda is contemplating over how to get a 70 cm long car part into a 50 cm long box.

Irene is on maternity leave, but here you can see her attending an evening meeting.

The first loser cap has been assigned. Matilda had the honor of crowning Andrea's, that was the unlucky (or untalented) loser that week in "skitgubbe".

The loser cap has gotten some more decorations, and still has the correct spelling.

Finally, Johan, the inventor of the loser cap, has gotten the perfect spelling. Two o’s makes it easier to rub in the loss better. What genuine joy!! Too bad that he was the first Looser.

It was Christer's turn this week. Some yellow has been added to the cap. Fortunately it’s only 3.5 hours left of the work week.

It’s not as bad as it might look. The roof is not leaking, at least not over there. Andrea's is testing a new form of head garment after a loss in “Skitgubbe”. You can se Henrik in the back.

Jorgen is testing the new and improved extreme “Skitgubbe” creation, that the looser will have to wear on Friday afternoon. There will be some Chinese guests visiting, so everything must coordinate perfectly. They must be defeated.

Our Chinese friend and supplier Patrick was offered to play “Skitgubbe” with the company's experts, unfortunately he withdrew before the game even started. However he did accept the looser cap with a smile.

Sage, one of the Chinese guys that visited didn’t miss a chance to work on his laptop. There were no ancient Chinese counting boards or black boards here! The calming lunch room was perfect.

Patrick and Mr. Zong is checking out the warehouse. The camera was their constant companion. Unfortunately we couldn’t learn what Mr. Zong's first name was.

Our Chinese friends was accompanying us thought Europe and to the Motor Show in Frankfurt. When we passed through Amsterdam we saw this parking garage for bikes! They couldn’t believe their eyes (neither could we). China is supposed to be the bicycles holy country, but they had never seen anything like this.

Our Chinese friends almost passed out when they saw this UPS-bike in Koln. First Amsterdam than Koln! There are few bikes nowadays in Shanghai, so they think China as being one step ahead.

Henrik and Patrick is gazing out over Nurburg Ring. Patrick said; Is this all you europeans have? He thought Shanghai Circuit was a bit more impressive.

The Chinese were at least a little bit impressed when these McLaren Mercedes passed us later at about 300 km/h. The old racing legend Claus Ludwig was taking the lead.

Full fight as usual at the company gatherings. Christer and Matilda is fighting over the same piece of meat or something like that.
.

Johan, the inventor of the "looser cap", is doing an impersonation of an elephant. A fresh air hose was perfect for the job.

As you can se, it’s very country like here. Poor Dino is trying to eat as fast as possible before the evil chicks attacks.

Unfortunately he got outnumbered. Dino got turned into a sad spectator. Fortunately he’s more aggressive when unwelcome guests come to say “hi”.

Here is Johan, one of the 2 pupils that were here during the fall. He’s assembling catch tanks.

The other pupil, John-Ingvar, is happily packaging packages under Henrik J’s supervision.

Two happy boys after a weeks hard work. Now it’s time for “smorgas cake” and a game of cards, of cource "skitgubbe"!

We're celebrating (or morning) that Johan is leaving for Austria for a couple of months to teach tourists how to ski, or was he going there to be a busboy?

Three big portions of "smorgas cake" was easily devoured, but the game of Skitgubbe didn’t go too well. A new hat imported especially from France was the punishment. Like salt in the wounds he got fired before he even arrived to Austria, or did he? It doesn’t look good to judge by the look on his face.

One of our mechanics are taking a break before putting on a Dalhems muffler.

December 2006. The river, Atran, has not been this high in 55 years, and at one point Dalhems was completely surrounded by water. We had to use sandbags in the facilities that was at the lowest point in the topography in order not to get flooded. This picture is taken about 12 hours after the maximum water level was reached. Before than it was about 30 cm (1 foot) higher. The property taxes will probably get higher after this...

Here’s a picture from the summer of 2006. Definitely more attractive and comfortable with the river 4-5 meters (13-16 feet) lower.
